From the Islands to the Westside, residents of Cornerstone Realty's six Savannah-area apartment communities received the "red carpet" treatment last week during the annual Cornerstone Resident Appreciation Week, which was held July 12th- 16th.
The week began with "Cornerstone Resident Appreciation Night," on Monday, July 12, at Grayson Stadium. More than 150 Cornerstone residents and associates gathered to cheer on the Savannah Sand Gnats as they faced the Charleston River Dogs. Tuesday, residents were treated to "Relax and Snack Day," which had apartment community residents coming home to gift bags of snacks and entertainment coupons on their doors.
Last Wednesday, residents were presented with a flowering potted plant encouraging them to "Plant Their Roots at a Cornerstone Community." Thursday morning, residents were greeted by their community associates with "breakfast on the go" and a copy of the Savannah Morning News. The week ended with each community hosting a party in honor of the residents, giving all a prime opportunity to meet their neighbors and enjoy a Southern cook out.
"This is one of our favorite events of the year," Jessica Wheeler, General Manager of Merritt at Whitemarsh, said. "Resident Appreciation Week shows what Cornerstone is all about - taking care of our residents and showing them that they are truly valued. One of our core values is. We believe life is service," and each day, we apply that value to all we do.
"This just gives us one more opportunity to live out our mission," she said.
The weeklong event was a hit with residents at Greentree Apartments, as well.
"Our community really enjoyed the Sand Gnats game," Krista Pettry, Greentree Marketing Specialist, said. "With over 1,500 Cornerstone residents in Savannah, this gave us all a chance to meet residents from other Cornerstone communities."
Regardless of where residents choose to make their home, Cornerstone has communities located throughout the Savannah area, all backed by the Cornerstone guarantee of first-class service. The Southside is home to Marsh Cove Plantation, Greentree Apartments, and The Huntington Apartments. These three locations offer one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, and amenities including swimming pools, tennis courts and a racquetball court conveniently located on the Savannah's southside.

Offering a host of resort-style amenities, residents of these communities enjoy marsh views, quick access to Tybee Island and downtown Savannah, and unique touches such as optional garages, executive business and fitness centers, a putting green, and controlled gated-access entry.
Cornerstone also has communities in the fast-growing area of West Chatham County.
