A "transitional" class is available for students in 7th and 8th grades who are more than one year below grade level and not ready for high school. This class will provide remediation and guidance into schools or programs that will best fit the individual students' needs. Individual education plans are written for each student. These plans incorporate vocational interests and aptitudes for 7th-9th grade students.
The curriculum for 1st-8th grades is the Core Knowledge Sequence developed by E. D. Hirsch and the Core Knowledge Foundation. Ninth grade curriculum follows the state requirements.
Classes in agricultural science, computer technology and video production are offered to 7th-9th graders.
The school offers an extended day schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Recreation, individual and group counseling, individual and small group tutorials, and exploratory classes are scheduled in addition to a minimum of 5 hours of academic instruction. Chapel and Bible classes are held once each week.
