Unique features include monthly visits to Haven's Planetarium and an annual Rocket Launch, in which students spend time building and studying the physics of rockets before launching them. Besides learning about flight theory and aerodynamics, students participate in a Science Olympiad, Math-a-thon, Paper Airplane Contest and Science Fair. Curriculum includes field trips to the Okefenokee Swamp and Kennedy Space Center. Special guests, including astronauts, often visit the school.
