SCHOOL SUMMARY: Marshpoint Elementary School, located on Whitemarsh Island, opened in 1997. The $6.5 million, 87,000-square-foot school is situated on 29 acres. The school has 36 classrooms in five wings extending from a central corridor. When it opened, the school was used by the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools system as a model of up-to-date computer services. There are two computer labs, and nearly every classroom has at least three computers with Internet capacity ã- two for student use and another for the teacher.
