SUMMARY: Mercer Middle School is the home of The Academy of Excellence in Writing and Mathematics magnet program. A key feature of the program is the methodical application of mathematical skills through critical thinking and advanced problem solving. Students also participate in a series of outdoor expeditions and activities that teach survival and group skills. Mercer is a Georgia charter school that features an enrichment program modeled from one used by the University of Connecticut.
